The format of the competition is as follows. 16 pairs will take part in the qualification, with a man or woman shooting three series of 25 shots, which awaits a partner, so the maximum can be obtained in the qualification 150 points and at that moment the competition will continue for only the four best, so we will face a bronze medal. and gold. So we won’t see any semi-finals, but we will have a big final for the Olympic victory and a small final for the bronze medals. For the remaining 12 pairs, the competition ends after 150 shots and their order determines the number of points achieved.

Welcome to watching the qualifications of mixed teams in the trap, in which Slovakia has a chance to add a third medal at the Olympic Games in Tokyo and at the same time Zuzana Rehák Štefečeková can experience another euphoria after the gold from individual races. Today, her partner will be Erik Varga, who for the third time at the Olympic Games failed to make it to the finals in individual races and finished in 11th place. Together, they won the European Games in Baku in 2015 and three years later triumphed in the mix at the World Cup, in addition to winning two World Cup races, and therefore may have bold ambitions in Tokyo. However, Slovakia will have a double chance, because the second pair are Marián Kovačócy and Jana Špotáková, for whom it will be their debut at the Olympic Games, and therefore not much is expected of them, but they also have a nice success, as at the European Championships in in 2017, they narrowly missed the bronze. After two pairs, we will also see in qualifying from Russia, America and Australia. It is interesting that the Czech Republic will not be represented, because it does not have a female shooter who could form a pair with the new Olympic winner Jiří Lipták or the silver medalist from Tokyo Dávid Kostelecký.
