Emmanuel Karalis will be the flag bearer in the parade of the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games that will take place tomorrow Sunday (11.8.2024) in Paris.
The pole vault champion was selected by the Greek Olympic Committee after the bronze medal he won in Paris with a jump of 5.90.
Already, Olympic gold medalist Miltos Tedoglou had clarified his desire to carry the Greek flag at the Los Angeles Olympics.
It should be noted that at the opening ceremony the flag bearers were Giannis Antetokounmpo and Antigoni Drisbioti.
Specifically, in the post made by the 24-year-old jumper, he seems to send to Giannis Antetokounmpo: “Guess who will take the flag at the closing ceremony” with the ace of the Bucks and the Greek National Team replying: “You’re kidding! Congratulations!”.
