OLYMPIC GAMES | SWIMMING Zazzeri asks robbers to return their Olympic items – Marseille News

Italian swimmer Lorenzo Zazzeri, silver medalist in the Olympic Games 4×100-meter freestyle relay, announced on Tuesday on its social networks the theft in Florence (north) of two technological devices which contained audiovisual “memories” of his visit to Tokyo, in addition to several items of sentimental value.

On his return from Japan and after having greeted his companions at the Bellariva swimming pool in Florence, at the door of which he had parked his car, Zazzeri found the vehicle window broken and no trace of the gym bag he had brought back from the Games, in which he kept a camera and a tablet full of files of great sentimental value.

“Today, August 3, around 1:30 pm, they broke the window of my car (…), stealing the memories of my Olympic Games, including the GoPro and the iPad with all the videos of the Games and the memories for my family, ”wrote the swimmer, who also posted two photos
of the car. Zazzeri demanded that the thieves hand over the audiovisual files to the pool, even if they keep the technological devices, and offered a “ransom” to recover their “memories”.

Five years ago, after the Rio 2016 Games, they stole the gold medal from fencer Daniele Garozzo -silver in Tokyo- in an Italian train, opening his luggage during a trip to Turin (north) . The medal, particularly important for Italy as it was the first in men’s foil since Atlanta 96, was found four days later in a trash can.
