In the 9th place of the javelin and far from the medals, Elina Tzengo, the last Greek participant in the track and field competitions of the Olympic Games in Paris, finished.
The young champion threw 61.80m in her first attempt and was in the top eight until Cheka Ogrodnikova “ostracized” her, throwing the javelin at 63.68. The other two throws of the 22-year-old Jengo, who holds the title of European champion from 2022, were disappointing: invalid and 57.90 m.
The duo of artistic swimming Evangelia Plataniotis, Sofia Malkogeorgos completes the Greek presence at the Olympic Games, with their participation in the free program, on Friday evening. The two Greek women are in 8th place after the opening day of the competition (technical program).
