The Women’s Polo National Team advanced to the quarter-finals of the Olympic tournament, with an 11-4 victory over France in the decisive match in Paris.
The Greek team, needing a win in regular time to finish in the top four of the Group, started with a score of 2-0 and were never overtaken by the French women. A 3-0 run in the third period made the difference.

The Men’s National Team (3-1) will face in-form Italy on Monday afternoon (16.10), in their last match for the first phase. The Greek team can finish from 1st to 4th place in their Group, but they are assured of their participation in the eight and are waiting to find out their opponent. The quarterfinals will be held on Wednesday.
