The Tokyo Olympics officially open this Friday, July 23, 2021 with the opening ceremony. The biggest sporting event in the world has enough to motivate the French present on the spot and eager to bring back medals to the country. So what are the French chances?

This will be the first suspense of the weekend or even the first days, if the start is delicate: who, within the French delegation, will succeed in winning the first French medal of the Tokyo Olympics ?

Goals

The French delegation has set a target of 40 medals at the Tokyo Olympics. That is to say a little less than in Rio (42), the number being revised downwards due to the special conditions surrounding the event. As a reminder, the medals are awarded as follows: 65,000 euros for gold, 25,000 euros for silver and 15,000 euros for bronze.
