March 13, 2023 will come into effect updated terms of the OLX website. This is to adapt this document to the changes on the OLX website that will be implemented in the near future, as well as the need to clarify some provisions.
OLX Terms and Conditions – what will change?
The list of changes to the OLX regulations includes several points. These are:
- Introduction of returns as part of the Protection Package. A return will be required if the buyer receives goods that are not the subject of the advertisement and if his application under the Protection Package is approved. Sending a return shipment will be a condition for receiving a refund for a failed transaction. The return shipping cost will be covered by the sellerwho will receive back the sent item, inconsistent with the content of the advertisement. The new rules will apply for all transactions concluded using the OLX Shipments and OLX Payments services from 12:00 on March 13, 2023.
- Sharing the content of the application regarding the Protection Package. Introduction of changes regarding the disclosure to the seller of the content of the buyer’s application submitted as part of the Protection Package.
- Clarification of identity verification information. The provisions of the OLX regulations regarding identity verification by the PayU payment operator are clarified by also specifying the verification conditions in the regulations.
- Change in the Sport and Hobby category tree. Create new subcategories in a category Bicycles and create a subcategory Water scooters.
- Removal of the Services and Companies category. The existing category Services and companies will be divided into two separate categories – Services and For companies. Changes to the Services category will come into effect from March 27, 2023while in the case of the For companies category – from March 28, 2023.
- Changing the scope of packages in the Automotive and Agriculture categories. Increasing the number of points for promoting and refreshing ads in selected premium packages in the category Automotive and adding packages in the category Agriculture.
- Change in advert limits in the Real Estate category. Reducing ad limits for users in subcategories Rent/Plots, Rental/Other i Rental/Rooms.
