The guests entered the match against reports of a very unfavorable state of health of the team, due to which they unsuccessfully asked for a postponement of at least a day, in a relatively strong group, but still lacked Polák, Koch, Marosz or Bukarts.

Although the home team entered the match actively, they did not get to the first chance until the eighth minute. However, they immediately used it to score the first goal: after Krejčí’s pass, he crossed the Navrátil Trail from behind the goal. Afterwards, the guests took the initiative and Lindberg was able to equalize, but he shot Konrád’s goal up close.

The visiting Hruška then found himself on an interesting occasion, but only the side net hit the backhand. Bondra, whose run of Prčík’s throw, headed over the goal, did not succeed either. The end of the first period also belonged to Vítkovice, but the keeper of the home goal Konrád did not let go of the puck behind his back.

As in the first period, the home team got into the first chance of the second part, but this time Káňa did not beat the trail up close. The visiting goalkeeper also performed an excellent intervention against Kolouch’s attempt from the ring. The guest defender Pedan also created a good opportunity to score, but in an effort to end the backhand, he hit the side net of Konrád’s goal.

After a mistaken pass by the Olomouc defender Rašner, Fridrich fired from a good position and sounded the home goal post. In the ensuing power play, the Vítkovič team leveled it up when a closed throw of Solovyov from the blue line fell behind Konrad. But after a minute and a half, Olomouc was in the lead again, when Dujsík’s shot hit the Kunc goal line. Before the end of the second period, Flick escaped on his own, but Konrád successfully intervened against the Canadian forward.

When the Olomouc goalkeeper was overcome, it stood with home luck as with Stehlík’s shot and Lakatos running, which only aimed at the pole. The home team, Vítkovice’s Stezka Knotkovo, hurried with the answer and caught the direction of the recording from Bambula at the last minute among the concrete.

Seven and a half minutes before the end of the regular playing time, the guests leveled for the second time in the match. This time, the defender Plášil pushed through with a shot from the blue line, Konrád had a blocked view, just like with the first collected goal. Olomouc then got the advantage of overpowering, and subsequently the numerical advantages of five against three, and was able to use it in a flash. In the end, Krejčí scored the decisive shot of the match with a hard shot from the ring.
