Olivier Véran launches three missions dedicated to French public health

After more than eighteen months of an unprecedented health crisis that put our health system to the test, the Minister of Solidarity and Health, Olivier Véran, is launching three missions for an ambitious modernization of public health in France.

The Minister of Solidarity and Health has launched three missions for the renovation of public health to learn from the health crisis and lay the foundations for a new public health.

The three missions are:

A first mission entrusted to Prof. Franck Chauvin, also president of the High Council in Public Health. It aims to outline the contours and institutional aspects of the organization of tomorrow’s public health, in particular in its aspects of professions, training, research, expertise and field intervention.

- A second mission is entrusted to Dr Aude Nyadanu and Dr Pauline Martinot, entrepreneur and doctor respectively, experts in innovation and public health issues. Its objective is to develop and install a new concept of “general public health” for the use of the population and in particular the youngest in order to change their outlook and encourage health.

- Finally, a third mission entrusted to Mr. Julien Delpech, innovative entrepreneur in the medical training sector and to Prof. Eric Vibert, digestive surgeon and member of the AP-HP innovation group. The aim of this mission is to offer an innovative system allowing the immediate dispensing of validated and reference flash training courses to all or some of the health professionals concerned by a theme or an event (health alert) whatever their professions, sector of activity or geographic location.

Olivier Véran thus declared: “It is urgent to overhaul our public health and to install tools and a modern and innovative culture to always better support our fellow citizens by learning the lessons of the health crisis”.
