“The difference with the 1st wave is that we went from emergency evacuations to early evacuations“, said the Minister of Health in particular. According to Olivier Véran,”the sanitary pressure is high but it seems that it has already passed its maximum level” : “We have more hospitalized patients than in the first wave, but less in intensive care“, he analyzed on the tarmac of the aerodrome.
Accompanied by the prefect of the Rhône, Pascal Mailhos, and the regional director of the ARS, Jean-Yves Grall, Olivier Véran took the time to visit the plane intended to evacuate the two patients, from the Metropolis. The Minister of Health left the scene around 11 a.m., an hour after his arrival.
Since the start of the second wave, around 100 patients have already been transferred from Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes to hospitals in other regions.
