FASHION – It’s not a pleasant awakening for Olivier Rousteing. The artistic director of the Balmain house had the unpleasant surprise to learn that a good number of the pieces from his show for the next Paris Fashion Week, at the end of September, were stolen.

The 38-year-old stylist published a post on his Instagram account where he gave details of this hijacking, a theft directly from a vehicle.

“Today (Saturday September 16, Editor’s note), I went to the office at 9 a.m. to wait for the last pieces of our show, the one for the month of September. I was starting to create looks with my team and our driver called us and said he had been hijacked by a group of people”says the creator.

“More than 50 Balmain pieces were stolen” directly in the truck, on its journey between the airport and the Balmain headquarters in the 8th arrondissement of Paris.

” It is so unfair “

” It is so unfair. My team and I worked very hard”deplores Olivier Rousteing, who adds that his teams are already “doing everything again” for the Fashion Week show, in women’s ready-to-wear, scheduled for September 27 in the capital.

Mixing hip-hop and castings under the sign of diversity, Olivier Rousteing has shaken up the codes and multiplied the steps to make the world of luxury understandable for young people and “democratize” fashion, becoming a star himself, frequenting the celebrities and the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival.

The Balmain house was bought in 2016 by the Qatari investment fund Mayhoola.
