In our previous part of the series devoted to the archives and correspondence of Raymond Saint-Prix kept in the former “chambres des demoiselles”, we referred to the letters of Olivier Guichard, who shared his friend’s passion for the theater and the lyrical art. His multiple writings on the difficulties of the time deserve attention.
The only clue we have are his handwritten letters. And an indication: he was co-director of the municipal theater of Villeurbanne, with P. Camerlo, from 1938 to 1949. Although modern technologies offer a panel of information on the people we are looking for, the name of Olivier Guichard refers towards the “baron of Gaullism”, a French politician, born in 1920 and died in 2004.
