Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis are taking legal action against their former nanny, Ericka Genaro, who filed a wrongful termination lawsuit improperly in California as a civil suit when it should have been filed in New York. The ex-couple hopes to move the case to a private arbitrator in order to handle the matter privately. Genaro claimed in February 2023 that she was fired after requesting a three-day “stress leave” due to Wilde and Sudeikis’s crumbling relationship. The exes deny this claim, with documents stating that Genaro actually resigned and even offered to help them out for an extra five months. They claim she broke her contract by speaking to the press. The former nanny is suing for damages and the cost of the lawsuit. Despite the ongoing legal dispute, the ex-couple is confident that the evidence will affirm their position to summarily dismiss the case and bring peace to their family.
