Guest on the show Lightning of Waxx on RTL2, Olivia Ruiz returned to her meeting with a great American singing star of which she has always been a fan: Patti Smith. “The day I see that I’m on the same stage, with Patti Smith, that I’m playing right after, I think, I say to myself, no, but it’s a nightmare” she confided. The French singer of Spanish origins even exchanged the line with the celebrity. She still remembers from the moment she entered Patti Smith’s dressing room. “The door to the dressing room opens, I have a cigarette at homein, she takes my cigarette, she throws it away, she says to me: “people have the power” (people have the power, editor’s note). Then, her manager explains to me that she lost several people precisely due to cancer lungs, so I’m getting knocked out, I’ve lost all my strength. I was there, I didn’t know what to say anymore“Olivia Ruiz explained.
The French celebrity wanted to emphasize that This meeting finally ended well : “She showed a lot of tenderness, explaining to me that I really shouldn’t smoke, that I had an extraordinary voice. At that moment, I knew that I could die, it wouldn’t be severe”.
