Oliver Kahn Rumored to Take CEO Position at Al-Hilal Football Club in Saudi Arabia

Will he be heading abroad soon? In 2021, Oliver Kahn (54) became CEO of FC Bayern Munich. During his time with the German champions, however, he had to listen to criticism again and again. After the football club won the coveted title last season, it was suddenly over for the Karlsruhe native: He was released and had to pack his bag. But now it looks like he almost has his next job in the bag: Will Oliver start in Saudi Arabia soon?

As the newspaper “Asharq Al-Awsat” reports, the former goalkeeper is said to have an offer from Saudi Arabia on the table. Accordingly, Oliver is to become the new CEO of the “Al-Hilal” football club, where superstar Neymar (31) Jr. is also under contract. However, the 54-year-old did not want to comment on the rumors to Bild.

Nevertheless, there has been great interest in football there for some time. “Back in 2017, I implemented a number of football projects together with the ‘Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF)’. In the same context, I look at the current developments in the Saudi Professional League (SPL). Both in the association, in the league, “There’s a lot going on at the moment, as well as at club level,” Oliver told the paper a few days ago.
