The president of the transition made a working and friendship visit to Sao Tome on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, where he met with President Carlos Manuel Vila Nova.
The discussions between the two presidents focused on several subjects of common interest. Indeed, the President of the Transition and his hosts returned to the transition process initiated by our country since August 30. Opportunity for General Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema to reassure the highest Santomean authorities regarding the objectives of the CTRI which are, among others, the Restoration of institutions, the recovery of the economy as well as the consolidation of national unity and social peace .
Sub-regional and international news, economic and cultural issues, air and maritime transport were also at the center of exchanges between the two personalities. The president of the transition spoke with the Prime Minister Head of Government of the Democratic Republic of Sao Tome and Principe, His Excellency Patrice Emery Trovoada with whom he discussed economic, social and education issues.
Finally, the President of the Republic, General Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema went to meet the Gabonese community of Sao Tome with whom he spoke at length.
