Libreville, Thursday October 26, 2023 (Infos Gabon) – The Gabonese and Equatorial Guinean presidents spoke at length yesterday in Malabo on the progress of the Transition and several other subjects of common interest.
After the first visit made on September 19 to Equatorial Guinea, the Gabonese head of state arrived yesterday in Malabo. The exchanges between Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema and his Equatoguinean counterpart, Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo focused on the evolution of the Transition underway in Gabon. But, the two personalities took a look at bilateral relations and current events within the Central Africa sub-region.
According to a press release from the Gabonese presidency, these frank and sincere exchanges allowed the two heads of state to explore other sectors intended to boost this bilateral cooperation. “Received at the Colina residence, the Gabonese head of state, General Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguéma, had a tête-à-tête with his Equatorial Guinean counterpart, Teodoro Obiang Nguéma, president of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea. The progress linked to the transition process initiated in Gabon, the bilateral and multisectoral cooperation which links Libreville and Malabo, as well as sub-regional and continental news constituted the bulk of the exchanges,” underlines the text.
After Malabo, the Gabonese president will take part in the Three Basins Summit on Friday in Brazzaville, Congo, where several delegations from the four corners of the planet have gathered to reflect for three days on the future of biodiversity.
