Libreville, Thursday November 30, 2023 (Gabon News) – The Gabonese head of state will be the guest of his Cameroonian counterpart in the coming days.
After touring the capitals of the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS), the Gabonese president will drop off his bags in the coming days in Yaoundé. On the occasion of this visit to Cameroon, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema will have a tête-à-tête at the Etoudi palace with Paul Biya.
As he did with the other heads of state, the transitional president will explain to his counterpart the merits of the coup of August 30, 2023. Indeed, it is without any violence, without clashes and without bloodshed that the Committee for the Transition and Restoration of Institutions (CTRI) changed the regime in place, which had confiscated the power of the institutions of the Republic for several years, in flagrant disregard of democratic rules, explained General Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema.
“The Republican army refused to support a crime which, once too often, would have cost the lives of many citizens. The people simply demand that their rights be guaranteed through functional institutions.”
