Oleiros: They recover a corpse that floated in the sea in Lorbé | Radio Coruña

The lifeless body of a man was found during the afternoon of this Sunday floating in the sea, in an area near Lorbé, in Oleiros (A Coruña), as reported by the 112 Galicia emergency service.

An individual contacted 112 at around 3.30 pm, to alert that the body of a male had been found, floating less than a mile from land.

According to the Oleiros emergency service to Europa Press, the body was located by the crew of a boat. After receiving the alert, the local emergencies, in coordination with Salvamento Marítimo, recovered the body and transferred it to the port of Lorbé.

The male, between 40 and 50 years old, was dressed in a neoprene and carried tools for collecting barnacles, according to the Civil Protection of Oleiros, but, for the moment, his identity has not been confirmed.

The 112 Galicia staff brought the situation to the attention of the Maritime Rescue, the Galician Gardacostas Service, the Civil Guard, the Local Police, the Civil Protection and 061-Urxencias Sanitarias.

According to what was communicated to 112 Galicia, the body was rescued by lifeguards from the Mera beach and transferred to the port of Lorbé.
