The Consellería do Mar analyzes samples of the chapapote-like material that appeared in the Bastiagueiro beach, in Oleiros, to determine its origin and composition, although it ensures that it is not a polluting product.
The Xunta considers two hypotheses. The force of the sea of these past weeks could drag sand until it discovered solidified fuel masses that had been buried for a long time. Another option would be for it to be turbo, a charcoal that forms over time from organic debris. The analyzes will make it possible to clarify this point.

Gardacostas technicians have already collected samples, both from the appeared masses and from the sea water of Bastiagueiro. In a first analysis it has been concluded that the remains are not polluting, since they form a uniform and solidified set.
