The Xunta de Galicia, after analyzing the epidemiological situation in recent days by the clinical committee, has placed Oleiros at a high level of restrictions. This municipality has registered a major outbreak, with more than twenty infections, linked to the Isidro Parga Pondal School of Infant and Primary Education.
The high level implies that the hospitality industry will not be able to serve indoors and on the terrace, but at 50%. From the sector surprise and sadness to see that the activity is limited again. Many will be forced to close due to not having a terrace or because this service is insufficient to offset the costs, to which is added the bad weather these days. It is the case of place O’Sampaio de Santa Cruz, with 10 employees, which will close from Friday.
The hospitality sector demands that the Servizo Galego de Saúde improve the traceability of infections, they remember that the focus of Oleiros is not in the hospitality industry, but in a school center.
Oleiros will not be the only municipality with restrictions. Betanzos, for its part, will remain in the medium level, to which it returns Carral. Cambre, which today is also in the middle, will be at the same low level as the rest of the councils in the area. These changes take effect at midnight Thursday through Friday.
