Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Honored at Premier League Awards Page all

KOMPAS.com – Manager Manchester United, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, became one of the managers who missed out on the Manager of the Month award Premier League for April.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was included in the list of nominees for the April Manager of the Month award.

Solskjaer side by side with Sam Allardyce (West Brom), Marcelo Bielsa (Leeds United), and Steve Bruce (Newcastle United).

The Man United coach is nominated after leading his men to three wins and one draw of four games throughout the fourth month with goals plus two on aggregate.

Man United secured second place in the Premier League with three wins from four games, beating Brighton 2-1 before posting 3-1 results over Tottenham and Burnley.

The only match the Red Devils failed to win in April was when they drew 0-0 against Leeds United.

However, Solskjaer’s acquisition was deemed insufficient with the Newcastle United manager finally becoming April’s best manager.

Bruce’s achievement is slightly lower than Solskjaer with the former Man United defender recording two wins and two draws throughout April.

Three points came through victories against Leicester (4-2) and West Ham (3-2) while Newcastle managed to hold Liverpool (1-1) and Tottenham (2-2) to a draw.

Even so, eight points from four matches were enough to save the Magpies from relegation.

The selection of the best manager of the month is determined by a public vote whose value is combined by Premier League panelists.

However, votes from voting account for only 10 percent of the total votes.

Meanwhile, the Man United player who is now on loan at West Ham, Jesse Lingard, was awarded the Player of the Month alias April’s Player of the Year.

The player finally won the award after being nominated for February and March.

Lingard won the award after contributing four goals and one assist throughout April.

“I have been nominated for the last two months and even being nominated has made me feel good,” he was quoted as saying on the Premier League’s official website.

“I want to compete with the best in the world. David Moyes has shown confidence and given me freedom in every game.”
