Opportunity passport – freely available
“We have decided not to be left out in the search for solutions by the country’s authorities regarding the development of the passport issuance network. Especially since many residents should not have great difficulties in getting a passport to the nearest pharmacy – the availability of pharmacies in Lithuania is one of the largest in the European Union, there are as many as 48 pharmacies per 100,000 inhabitants, ”assured Kristina Nemaniūtė-Gagė, Chairwoman of the Lithuanian Pharmacy Association.
Technological solutions
Diana Vilytė, Director of Service Management of the Center of Registers, said that thanks to smooth cooperation with the Lithuanian Pharmacy Association, it was possible to operatively create conditions for expanding the opportunity passport distribution network.
“Until now, persons who do not have and do not use electronic means of identification have been issued opportunity passports in the physical customer service units of the Center of Registers, and they have also been shared by the mobile team of the Center of Registers for some time. Seeing the increased interest, there was also a need to expand the number of places where individuals can get a printed opportunity passport, therefore we are grateful for the close and benevolent cooperation with the Lithuanian Pharmacy Association. Agreements have been concluded and technological solutions found will henceforth allow residents to obtain a passport in pharmacies as well, ”said D. Vilytė.
