The MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg celebrated their ninth win in a row in the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) and expanded their lead in the table for the time being.
The Giants won against ratiopharm Ulm after a strong final phase with 89:87 (39:46). With a record of eleven wins and one defeat, Ludwigsburg remains ahead of Hakro Merlins Crailsheim (10: 1), who can draw level again on Sunday against Hamburg Towers (6:00 p.m.).
Previously, the third place in the table, EWE Baskets Oldenburg, had won his home game against medi Bayreuth 80:73 (34:35) thanks to a strong last quarter and remained close on the heels of the leading duo with a 10: 2 record. The Baskets’ best thrower was Keith Hornsby with 24 points, while Derek Pardon scored 16 points for Bayreuth.
In the second Saturday evening game, s.Oliver Würzburg prevailed at the Telekom Baskets with 89:77 (44:40) after half-time behind. Würzburg pulls past the hosts by winning the table.
