A school was opened on Monday 4 April in Eindhoven especially for Ukrainian children. At the request of the municipality of Eindhoven, this was made possible by SILFO (St International and local foundation education) and AXEZ.
It was decided to offer the Ukrainian children together at 1 location (primary and secondary) education, so that brothers and sisters and acquaintances can stay close to each other. AXEZ ICT Services has received a request from SILFO to make an old location of the school fully operational again within one week. Since Monday, 120 and eventually a maximum of 600 students have been taught at this location from the digital curriculum that has been available in Ukraine since Corona.
Make older location operational quickly
“AXEZ is the preferred supplier of our IT infrastructure and the manager of large parts of our network. So it makes sense that we asked them to quickly make this older location operational and integrate it into the complete infrastructure. It is heartwarming that they were willing to do this selflessly,” said Petra de Bruijn, member of the Executive Board of SILFO.
Barry van Beem, COO of AXEZ, explains: “Because we have been able to modernize the existing network with 4 locations, more than 600 employees and more than 4,000 students in recent years, it was quite possible to add a location quickly. With the equipment and management software from HPE Aruba and the experience of our people, it was possible to deliver the location within two weeks after we heard about it and within 1 week after the ‘Go’. HPE Aruba has also provided valuable support in this regard. We are pleased that we could make a significant contribution.”
