Comeback concert with “finklinggs” after a forced break
Rankweil. For a long time, far too long, it was quiet in and around the Rankweiler culture and cabaret temple “Altes Kino” in Bahnhofstrasse. The last event dates back to October 2020, a regular program was already over a year ago. In keeping with Easter, the homepage even writes about the fact that “Resurrections are quite modern at this time and from the biggest comeback since Lazarus, after a phase of the cultural Sahel zone.”

For the return of culture in Rankweil, old friends then made guest appearances with the formation “finklinggs”. Led by the two outstanding voices Evelyn Fink and Philipp Lingg, there was the best Bregenzerwald music – and song tradition from the perspective of the great world. A modern interpretation proves that folk music does not have to be boring and old-fashioned, but inspires young and old in a new way. Supplemented by Matthias Härtel on bass and microphone there were well-known Vorarlberg melodies, but also cover versions of international hits. In any case, in spite of all the regulations, which were adhered to by everyone in an exemplary manner, the visitors were emotionally transported into new spheres by this little piece of returning normality. This could also be felt in the comments after the concert. So they spoke of a new understanding of the live experience and the wonderful feeling of not having to think about anything, but simply to enjoy. Another visitor then described her tingling in the soul and in the ears and the total feeling of happiness. All those questioned were in agreement about the sense of opening up, but also about the prevailing measures and this also led to a feeling of security. The only thing that visitors missed was the opportunity to sing along, but they are optimistic that this will also come back soon.

The joy of the audience was also noticeable for the musicians, who, according to their statements, also had similar feelings. Singer Philipp Lingg saw the early start at 6pm due to the exit restrictions in a very humorous, pragmatic way: “These are unknown, yes, musician-friendly beginning times.” CEG
