An elderly man was carried away by a truck yesterday morning (12/11) in Piraeus.
As can be seen in the video document, secured by MEGA, the 77-year-old man walks on the sidewalk and attempts to cross the road vertically. However, his jacket became entangled in the back of the truck, and as seen in the footage, the elderly man is dragged along the road for several meters.
The incident happened in front of the astonished eyes of drivers and passers-by, who tried to inform the truck driver. He stopped the vehicle and notified the authorities.
The 77-year-old was taken to the hospital injured and according to information he escaped the danger. The driver of the truck was arrested and the necessary tests were carried out to determine if he had consumed alcohol.
