LINZ. A view of the autumn cemetery of the railway bridge.
The hype surrounding the new railway bridge is slowly subsiding. The traffic jam remained for the Linzers and even the laughs at the missing rails have almost stopped. After all, cyclists and walkers will be happy about the wide footpaths and bike paths on the new bridge.
It has become even quieter around the old railway bridge. In the Industriezeile, however, there is still an arch of the bridge – an already wildly cut one – stored.
The winning project “The Floating Garden” was presented in 2015 as a subsequent use for this part of the original railway bridge. So far, however, nothing has come of it! Instead of a garden there is now a small forest that overgrows the parts of the bridge.
