Cyclist great bike whose initials RMP fatally shot an elderly cloth seller with initials S (63) at Jalan HOS Cokroaminoto, Menteng, Central Jakarta (Central Jakarta). RMP himself was injured in the crash.
“Harley-Davidson rider, brother RMP, suffered an injury to his right hand,” Central Jakarta Metropolitan Police Traffic Unit Chief Kompol Purwanta said on Tuesday (12/27/2022).
Injured, RMP was rushed to Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM), Salemba, Central Jakarta. He is receiving treatment at the RSCM.
“(Moge drivers) are seeking treatment at RSCM,” he said.
Moge’s seconds hit a tissue seller
Central Jakarta Metropolitan Police Laka Unit Chief AKP Setiyono previously confirmed the incident. He said the victim died at the scene, around 3:30pm WIB.
“Pedestrian crossing the road, Sister S, had injuries to her head and right leg, died at TKP,” Setiyono said when asked to confirm.
Setiyono explained the moments of the fatal accident. He said the bikers drove from south to north on Jalan HOS Cokroaminoto, Menteng.
“Arriving in front of SDN 1 Gondangdia, Menteng, they hit a crosswalk walking east-west on the road,” he explained.
Meanwhile, he continued, the motorcyclist with the initials RMP (43) was not questioned. This is because the motorcyclist also sustained injuries and is currently undergoing treatment.
“It was previously handled by the RSCM medical team. When it is finished, we will immediately take it to the Central Jakarta Police,” he added.
