The Olching local association of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen has elected a new board. Three board members had made their posts available: spokesman Michael Maier, treasurer Manfred Fratton and assessor Klaus-Peter Gasch. The candidates presented themselves at a digital general meeting at the end of November. The members then had three weeks to vote by postal vote. Long-time district councilor Christina Claus and lawyer Manfred Fratton were chosen as electors. They opened the letters on Monday and counted the votes.
The six-member board now has two spokespersons: In addition to Heide Kuckelkorn, now also Christiane Tupac-Yupanqui, previously an assessor. The new cashier is Andreas Hillebrand. Christine Vercelot was elected as assessor. Jakob Baiz, a student at the Olching grammar school, was also elected as assessor. Jochen Frings remains the other assessor. Spokeswoman Kuckelkorn says: “I am pleased that Jakob Baiz is now also represented on the board of directors.” The 16-year-old is involved in the “One World Project” working group at his school. In 2019 he organized and moderated a panel discussion on climate protection with Mayor Magg. The group presented the results of a climate workshop to the city council. “This experience motivated me to become a member of the local association of the Greens,” says Baiz. He wants to represent the interests of his generation.
