The mother of Olcay’s ex Frans Ghazi dragged Olcay to court in June last year because she claimed that the presenter still owes her 100,000 euros. According to her, the presenter would have borrowed 50,000 euros from her ex-mother-in-law twice. At the time she received the money, Olcay’s company SuperTrash was not doing well, which went bankrupt in 2018.
Olcay and her former mother-in-law are said to have made verbal agreements about the repayment, but the woman has reportedly not seen a penny of the amount. In July last year, the judge ruled that the ex-mother-in-law had insufficient evidence against Olcay. With, among other things, a witness statement and several written statements richer, the judge believes that she now has enough evidence to be able to demand that 100,000 euros from Olcay.
And thus the judge decides that Olcay must repay her ex-mother-in-law 100,000 euros, ‘plus the legal interest (…) from February 17, 2022, until the day of full payment’. And that’s not all: Olcay also has to pay for all litigation and lawyer costs of the opposing party.
It is not yet clear whether Olcay will appeal.
Olcay Gulsen previously told RTL Boulevard how much this lawsuit frustrates her:
