Olaf Lubaszenko is today one of the most famous and recognizable actors in our country. Edward Lubaszenko’s son created countless roles that went down in the history of Polish cinema. His greatest fame came from his appearances in such productions as “E=mc2”, “Sfora”, “Sztos”, “Kiler” and “Krótki film o miłość”. The artist also proved himself as a director. The 59-year-old was behind the camera of several cult action comedies, including “Kojota’s Morning” and the hit “Boys Don’t Cry”.
Recently, the creator was a guest on the popular podcast “WojewódzkiKędzierski”. During a conversation with journalists, he recalled the situation from years ago. It turns out that in one of the hotels in Łódź, the actor was treated scandalously by the staff.

The scandal occurred even before Olaf Lubaszenko gained nationwide fame and popularity. As we learned from his story, the meeting between the aspiring actor and two other filmmakers ended with the then 18-year-old star… getting kicked out of the hotel.
All because of… the lack of a corkscrew.
“I was thrown out because Sophia’s wine splashed on the wall. (…) At the top, we realized that there was no corkscrew (…). We started wondering what to do,” the artist reported. As you might expect, Lubaszenko and the other two guests decided to open the drink in a rather radical way, by… breaking it.
At some point the experiment got out of control.
“The whole room was covered with red dots. Then there was silence, they looked at each other and said they were going to go. I was left alone, I went to bed, in the morning I went to take photos,” Olaf Lubaszenko described in the podcast of Kuba Wojewódzki and Piotr Kędzierski .
The problem is that the then aspiring actor had to return to the hotel where he was staying overnight. It turned out that the staff decided to severely punish him for his irresponsible behavior.
“When I came back, there was a suitcase waiting for me and a ban on entry,” recalls the Polish cinema star.
Despite the passage of time, Olaf Lubaszenko is still reluctant to return to that event.
