About the topic, Margaret Pellegrini talked with Wake up by Radio Sapiens to recount the organizational task demanded by the festival that promotes with the aim that “be a nice proposal and a good party”.
The Lima Limón group will perform, there will be a dance floor and canteen service. Dinner will also be offered with pizzas and empanadas, a drinks bar and a sweet table. Tickets for the event are already on sale. by the members of Ola Rosa and the group of Rugby Moms; at the Vicente López 2743 kiosk and at the 9 de Julio 3043 store.
Margarita Pellegrini also recounted that Ola Rosa was formed in 2018. “It is an association of women who deal with breast cancer and row to rehabilitate the entire area that has been basically affected by the operation, by the extraction of the lymph nodes. Rowing acts as a natural drain from the formation of lymphedema, which is the accumulation of fluids that occurs precisely because the nodes have been removed.
The association, made up of about 40 people, has several purposes. The therapeutic is the first, but also the recreational and the social.
“The essence of Ola Rosa, we agree with women who are willing to work as a team” emphasized Margarita.
They maintain as their objective, “the dream,” said the member of Ola Rosa, of buying the dragon boat that is specific to be able to row in better conditions. The one they are looking to acquire measures 12 meters and allows it to be rowed in a communal way.
“You row on the side that we are operated on, so with a single oar -a mono-oar it is called- you row on only one side. In the case of the boat that we aspire, 10 people can go. That makes the force of the set act differently” he explained.
Now, none of the members of Ola Rosa have their own boat.
Finally, he announced, next month the group will resume their usual rowing activities and will travel to Mar del Plata to “row in a dragon boat and see what that experience is like.”
