Since Friday, the Rhône and Lyon have been affected by strong gusts, which has prompted the department to be placed on orange alert. However, OL – Reims is not threatened at the moment, while Météo France must raise its vigilance.

Downed trees, closed roads and a lot of chaos over the past 24 hours. Coming from Ireland, the low pressure minimum called “Nelson” has generated strong winds since Thursday evening with gusts of up to more than 100 km/h Friday midday. The phenomenon is still present this Saturday in certain places in the department and the question of holdingOL – Reims inevitably arises. With the authorities having advised for more than 24 hours to stay at home as much as possible, a football match is not necessarily seen as a priority.

However, this Saturday morning, at ten o’clock before kick-off, the trend within the Lyon club was not for a match to be postponed. At 9 p.m., the weather conditions will be much better than in the last hours and the kick-off given by Thomas Leonard well given on time. The 45,000 spectators expected at Parc OL will have to take their seats within the Décines enclosure, especially since Meteo France wind alert should be lifted in the Rhône in the coming hours.
