OL – Mercato: Diego Moreira’s loan canceled by Chelsea?

Loaned during the summer by Chelsea, Diego Moreira could already leave OL. In addition to poor playing time, the Portuguese winger could pay the price for the Blues’ policies.

Two months since we last saw him. Since his first tenure against Brest for the premiere of Fabio Grosso, Diego Moreira had disappeared from radar. Until he came into play against Lille (0-2) last Sunday. Left aside by the Italian coach, the winger has been patient since then, being part of the OL squad before being sent to the stands most of the time. Despite a percussion profile, the young Portuguese (19 years old) failed to convince Fabio Grosso to give him more than an hour of play in the seven matches he managed. Will Moreira have better luck with the new coach? Chelsea exceeded their loan quota

Diego Moreira still needs to be at the club… Loaned at the very end of the transfer window, the winger could see Chelsea break his loan in the coming weeks if we are to believe theEvening Standard. The reason ? The Blues have already reached the maximum number of players sent on loan abroad (7). The problem is that the London club would like to lend Andrey Santos, who has no playing time at Nottingham Forest where he is on loan. Porto would also be in the running.

To send Santos on loan to Portugal, Chelsea must therefore recall one of their players on loan. Diego Moreira, who played little for OL, could be the collateral victim. However, the residents of Stamford Bridge will have to pay 2.9 million euros to OL. Enough to make the operation almost zero since the Lyon club had paid 2.5 million during the summer for this paying loan and far from being conclusive for the moment.
