Famous Ukrainian heavyweight boxer Alexander Usik (18-0, 13 KOs) took part in the filming of the documentary “The Pilgrim”, the author of which was Oksana Marchenko.
The tape tells about one of the greatest shrines of Orthodoxy – the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra.
“This film is a two-part film, although one can talk endlessly about the laurel – so endless are the stories of its saints, the stories of healings and miracles among those living now,” the description says.
The tendril appears in the frame at the 10th minute, having met with Marchenko in the nearby caves. In an interview with the Ukrainian TV presenter and the wife of a people’s deputy from the OLL Victor Medvedchuk the boxer said that before each competition prays and holds some kind of fastif his physics allows it.
Also Alexander confessedthat in childhood he fell seriously ill, and it almost cost him his life. According to the boxer, it was one of those moments that convinced him of faith in God.
As reported OBOZREVATEL, formerly British boxer Joe Joyce (12-0, 11 KOs) made fun of Usik’s proposal to hold a fight in Ukraine at the Kiev NSC Olimpiyskiy.
