Okoumé capital signs two partnerships of 416 million FCFA with two Gabonese SMEs – AGP

Libreville, August 11, 2023 (AGP) -As part of the Program “ The factory of champions »Okoumé capital, a subsidiary of the Gabonese Strategic Investment Fund (FGIS), signed this Friday, August 11, two partnerships with two Gabonese SMEs, in particular Hemspro and Mishkhan Immo, making the fund a co-shareholder.

Selected following the program ”the factory of champions”, the companies Hemspro and Mishkhan Immo have just benefited from financing for the development of their structures.

Specialized in the maintenance of heavy equipment, the Hemspro company, via this signature, received financing of around 316 million CFA francs including working capital and the acquisition of equipment for this company which has 140 employees, 80% of whom are Gabonese with more than 20% women.

«This partnership will allow us to increase the number of infrastructures, our heavy equipment. This will allow us to increase our operational capacity, the number of customer services and therefore expand our footprint in the current market.said Hemspro CEO Ousmane Maiga.

Mishkhan Immo, which evolves in the construction of mud brick housing, obtained from Okoumé capital, an amount of 100 million FCFA granting the fund a 30% share.

«This financing will make it possible to acquire equipment for the manufacture of mud bricks. This will save resources and help lower the cost of the finished product. (…) For us, it was important to us to finance such projects because it responds directly to a need expressed by the Gabonese populations. And, within the framework of this project, we have the alliance between traditions and the need for housing. It is very important for us to contribute to it because we have identified a number of opportunities that we will strive to seize very quickly for the benefit of all.“, indicated the interim managing director of Okoumé capital, Christian Mamalepot.

As a reminder, these companies are part of the six (6) selected at the end of the program “the factory of champions”. They were chosen according to certain criteria, including their field of activity and benefited from support through Master classes.

«The Champions family helped me a lot in restructuring my business and financial management. By being in okoumé capital, I will gain not only in visibility but in support“, testified Tatiana Nouchka Otha, the director of Mishkhan Immo.

According to Okoumé Capital’s PCA, a second edition of the said program will be launched in the coming months.

«You have to be a promoter who has a profitable and bankable project that we will analyze and see if it has market potential. If this is the case, we will enter the capital to be able to support the promoter. The goal behind it is to be able to create value for the company so that after 4 or 5 years, the company has appreciated in value. We can resell our participations either to the initial promoter or to others. And this money that we recover will allow us to go and finance other operations because we want to have a fairly large ecosystem of Gabonese companies.“Explained Jean Baptiste Bikalou.
