“I think everything is a matter of time. It’s been a good journey getting here, and I feel like it’s my time to go out and become a World Champion. There’s nothing I need to be tense about, I’ve done all the training so it’s just about getting in and doing it.
“All other things are extras, I’m here to enjoy my life to the best of my ability. In boxing terms, Shane will tell you that my training history shows that I put in 100% every day in the gym and that is why I can go out and do what I do.
“The most important thing is to have confidence in yourself. Every boxer believes in himself, but I take it to another level. Some people call it arrogance, but I think if you don’t believe in yourself wholeheartedly, you won’t be able to get on a stage like this and continue to shine. I am very excited for Saturday and I do what needs to be done.
“I have done everything I have to do in training, so whatever happens. However, in my opinion, that is not going to happen. I need to show that I am at a higher level even though my experience is not necessarily there ”.
Krzysztof Glowacki (31-2 and 19 KOs), 34, captured the WBO World Cruiser in 2015, beating Serbian-German Marco Huck and then defending him once, successfully, against the former American world champion Steve Cunningham and then losing it to Ukrainian world champion Oleksandr Usyk in his own backyard in Poland in 2016.
In November 2018, the Pole recovered the WBO World Cup (interim), after defeating Maxim Vlasov by decision. But eventually, he lost it again, being knocked out in the third round by Latvian Mairis Briedis in June 2019 in Riga, Latvia.
