OJK dissolves Himalayan Insurance

KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has just dissolved PT Asuransi Himalaya Protectors or Himalaya Insurance as decided by a member of the OJK Board of Commissioners Number: KEP-38 / D.05 / 2020 dated 8 September 2020.

“OJK has appointed Djoko Trenggono and Sujarwo as the liquidation team for the Himalaya Protector Insurance (in liquidation). The dissolution is effective from September 8, 2020,” wrote OJK Public Relations, on the official website, Wednesday (23/9).

The decision was made through the deed confirming the dissolution of the legal entity and the formation of a liquidation team by OJK Number 16 dated 18 September 2020, which was made in the presence of Ratu Arlini Sriwahyuni ​​Widyastuti Suhadiwiraatmaja as a notary in Jakarta.

Anyone who has a bill to the company can contact the appointed liquidation team in writing. This is done within 60 calendar days from the announcement.

The announcement was made to comply with the provisions of Article 44 paragraph (2) letter b of Law Number 40 of 2014 concerning Insurance jo. Article 6 paragraph (1) letter b of OJK Regulation Number 28 / POJK.05 / 2015 concerning the Dissolution, Liquidation and Bankruptcy of Insurance Companies, Sharia Insurance Companies, Reinsurance Companies and Sharia Reinsurance Companies.
