Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Financial Services Authority revealed that special supervision of 13 insurance companies had been reduced to 11. This was stated by the Chief Executive of OJK’s IKNB Supervision, Ogi Prastomiyono at a Press Conference on Policy Development and Oversight of the Non-Bank Financial Industry (IKNB), Thursday (2/2/2023).
“Regarding insurance supervision, there are two, namely normal and special supervision. The development is now that there are 2 companies that have been successfully restored and returned to normal supervision,” he explained.
Three of the eleven insurance companies that are under special supervision are PT Asuransi Jiwa Kresna (AJK) or Kresna Life, PT Asuransi Jiwa Adisarana Wanartha (Wanaartha Life/WAL), and PT Asuransi Jiwa Bersama (AJB) Bumiputera 1912. However, Ogi was reluctant to mention the rest.
He said there was one company whose business license had been revoked, namely Wanaartha. In addition, there is one insurance company that is under special surveillance which cannot be named.
“So now there are 11 companies that we are working on but we will review the developments and we will set a special monitoring status,” concluded Ogi.
