Jakarta, Selular.ID – Samsung seems to be getting serious about its camera sector. In a report, the South Korean technology company has plans to provide Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) on the Galaxy A mid-range smartphone series starting next year.
You need to know that this ability is now only available in the Galaxy S and Note flagship series. And this step is certainly a sign that Samsung is increasingly serious in working on the camera sector of each of its products, even to its mid-range line.
The OIS in terms of ability certainly increases the stability of photography, and is very popular among young people who like to create vlogs or simply capture images.
Technically, OIS’s ability to work is of course pinning the gyro sensor on the camera module which moves the lens in the opposite direction. The goal, to resist any form of shock or movement, thus maintaining stability.
And of course this plan is not far from competing in the smartphone market, which has recently been moving increasingly massively, especially in the middle-class mobile market.
And it is undeniable that Samsung in this segment is known to lose market share from Chinese manufacturers who offer high-end smartphones at pocket-friendly prices.
Correspondingly, Samsung is also reportedly investing 150 billion won in Jaeyoung Solutech, a secondary supplier of spare parts for smartphones.
Jaeyoung Solutech announced a few days ago that it will enter the OIS camera module market with plans to supply it to Samsung Electronics in the early fourth quarter.
As a note for the Galaxy A series, there are actually already embedded OIS in it but it is still very limited, namely the Galaxy A52 with a 64MP sensor and the Galaxy A22 4G 48MP. While the Galaxy A32 4G/5G, Galaxy A22 5G, and Galaxy A42.
