Oil prices fall back to pre-Russian invasion of Ukraine | Abroad

At about 4.15 pm Belgian time, a barrel of Brent oil from the North Sea cost $95.93 for delivery in September, still 3.67 percent less than on Wednesday. A barrel of the American oil type WTI was 4.40 percent lower at $ 92.04.

Before the Russian invasion, Brent oil fluctuated between $95 and $99 a barrel and WTI between $90 and $94. The prices of both oil types have still risen by more than a fifth since the beginning of this year, as the Russian threat weighed on prices before the actual invasion on February 24.
