Written by – Marwa Al-Ghoul Saturday, December 16, 2023 02:00 PM Recorded Oil prices $76.55 per barrel for Brent crude futures, and US West Texas Intermediate crude futures recorded $71.43 per barrel, as prices declined at the end of Friday trading but recorded gains on a weekly basis.

Vadim Collet, Deputy Head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation between the Warring Parties in Syria, said that Russian aircraft raided the sites of militants who planned to target the oil and gas infrastructure and the road network in Syria.

Collet said in a press conference held on Friday that the illegal armed groups planned to carry out acts of sabotage targeting oil and gas infrastructure, road networks, and sites of Syrian government forces.

He added: “In order to prevent hostile armed activities, the Russian Air Force carried out intensive air strikes on the strongholds of armed groups whose locations were identified in the Belaya desert.”
