Oil Prices Continue to Rise on December 14, 2023 Amid US Inventory Withdrawal and Expectations of Central Bank Rate Reduction

Today, oil prices witnessed a new rise in the session of Thursday, December 14, 2023, continuing the gains that they began in the previous session, supported by a larger than expected weekly withdrawal from US crude inventories and the expectations of the US Central Bank to reduce borrowing costs in 2024.

Futures prices rose today, bringing the price of Brent crude to $74.47 per barrel, an increase of 21 cents, or 0.28%, while the price of US West Texas Intermediate crude reached $69.65 per barrel, meaning an increase of 0.03%, or about 9 cents.
