Oil on the road destroys Mercedes in the variant in Braga

Loverci de Castro Junior, a 31-year-old Brazilian immigrant living in Braga, died on September 11 when he installed solar panels on a property in the city of Mangualde, in the district of Viseu.

According to witnesses, the man was distracted when he leaned on a tile that was unable to support his body weight and ended up falling from a height of 20 meters, a fall that proved fatal.

Loverci’s family now leaves an appeal for help so that the body of the failed young man can be transferred to Guarujá, in São Paulo, a transport that costs about 7 thousand euros.

Second the newspaper G1, gives Globo network, Loverci’s body has been kept in a Portuguese funeral home since the autopsy was performed, awaiting payment before the transfer can take place.

That publication tells that Júnior and his wife moved, in November 2019, to the city of Braga, “in search of a better life”. The two had inherited a piece of land in Guarujá and intended to save some money in Portugal to build a house on that land.

Júnior’s sister, Kellen de Lima, says that her brother got a job at a solar panel installation company, and was even promoted to team leader. The company worked across the country, but it was in Viseu that the tragic outcome took place.

He also says that the company in question, which O MINHO tried but was unable to contact, undertook to pay for the expenses of the funeral, as long as the burial was made in Portugal.

“If we want the transfer, it’s on us. A breach in his life insurance contract does not oblige them to bring his body here ”, argues the sister.

He also says that there was no request for online fundraising because these types of sites take 30 days to be able to withdraw the money, something they cannot do because it is an urgent situation.

The sister also explains that they have already managed to collect around six thousand euros, and should be close to reaching the necessary amount, after the help of family and friends who mobilized for this purpose.
