Oil exports generate US $ 7.7 billion in three months – Jornal OPaís

Angola exported 94.41 million barrels of crude oil, with a turnover of approximately 7.77 billion US dollars, in the first quarter of 2024, at a weighted average price of $82.29/barrel.

When presenting the results of the performance of the Angolan oil industry in the first quarter of this year, the director of the Office of Research, Planning and Statistics (GEPE) of the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, Alexandre Garrett, said that to the fourth and ‘ last quarter of 2023, exports in the period under review registered a decrease of 8.43%.

Regarding the total value collected from the sale of Angolan oil (Brent), in the first three months of this year, he said that there was an increase of 11.93%, compared to the same period in 2023, although a decrease of 10 there. %, compared to the 4th quarter of last year.

Similar to the situation seen in the previous quarters, Alexandre Garrett said that China remained the main destination for Angolan crude oil exports, including about 49.65% of the total.

India also stands out as a destination, with 13.12%, Spain (8.76%), Indonesia (6.93%), France (4.33%) and the United States (4. 11%) .

Of the export volume, 26.66% belong to ANPG, 15.78% to Sonangol, and among international companies, Azule Energy (16.25%), TotalEnergies (11.68%), SSI (7 .01%), Esso (6.99% ), Cabgoc (6.99%) and Equinor (5.99%).
