Ohio State running back Miyan Williams will play against Michigan on Saturday, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel.
Williams, who was ejected against Indiana on Nov. 12, missed last week’s win over Maryland. With TreVeyon Henderson out, Williams will be an integral part of the Buckeyes offense as they will rely on him for the majority of their rushing game.
Williams is Ohio State’s leading rusher, entering the day with 783 yards and a 6.7 average per carry.
As for Michgian’s injured running backs, according to Thamel, Blake Corum should try to battle a knee injury sustained last week, but it’s unclear how effective that will be.
Corum looked back on the Wolverines’ win over Illinois last week after picking up an injury, but only carried the ball twice in the second half.
Donovan Edwards is expected to return from a hand injury that kept him out of the game against Illinois. According to The Michigan Insider’s Sam Webb, offensive lineman Trevor Keegan and tight end Luke Schoonmaker should also play.
Ohio State member Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who has been out since Oct. 22, will miss The Game, according to Thamel.
