Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon responds to Jeon Jeon-yeon’s subway protests every day in a hardline manner.

It means we can no longer tolerate civilian hardships.

As the conflict between Seoul City and Jeon Yeon-yeon is escalating, Jeon Yeon-yeon’s dialogue request is attracting attention.

The court presented an adjustment plan to maintain the “boarding within 5 minutes” even as Jeon Yeon-yeon protests.

This is because there is no basis for banning protests demanding the right to move for people with disabilities.

Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon is taking a strong stance that he will not accept the adjustment plan.

Mayor Oh recently announced his stance that he will “take all legal action” along with “decisive action on the spot.”

It was a sudden turn towards a zero-tolerance response from the position of asking to refrain from protests and presenting a ceasefire declaration, always emphasizing “accompaniment with the weak”.

They are fighting against them saying they will protest on their way to work all year round.

<정다운 / 전국장애인차별철폐연대 정책실장> “At 8:00, at a station somewhere on line 4, (total war) takes place, 260 days excluding holidays and weekends.”

The longer the clash between the Seoul metropolitan government and Jeon Jeon Yeon continues, the longer the citizens will have to endure the inconveniences on their way to work.

In addition to pointing out that Jeon Yeon-yeon’s protest method is a problem, there are also rumors that Mayor Oh’s “zero tolerance principle” shouldn’t block the exit itself.

<송재룡 / 경희대 특임교수> “Rather than constantly blocking their claims or requests with a principle of zero tolerance, you should constantly keep the dialogue open and always have an outlet on the side of being able to comply with their requests.”

Some say that when the government’s strong principled response to the cargo union’s general strike last year won public support, there was a shift in Mayor Oh’s response.

However, it is noteworthy whether a step forward in resolving the conflict will be made as Jeon Jeon-yeon urges a dialogue with Mayor Oh and decides to suspend the subway boarding demonstration until the 19th.
