Ogilvy Switzerland: “Safety Quest” makes occupational safety a reality

The accident prevention emblem BeSmartWorkSafe (BSWS) from intercantonal association for the protection of workers (IVA) is aimed primarily at young workers. That’s why the association, together with the Ogilvy Switzerland group and the gaming group Estudios, decided to educate the target group about the importance of occupational safety where you can definitely find it: in the world of games . Ogilvy writes this in a press release.

hat mit studies «Safety Question» he developed his own game world, a so-called map. Players can get to know the most important work safety rules in an entertaining way.

The map is divided into four levels, each representing a specific industry. Players must solve challenges that test their skills and knowledge of security measures. In the garage, for example, the focus is on using tools safely, and in the bakery the focus is on hygiene rules and handling hot surfaces.

Bruce Roberts, ECD at Ogilvy Switzerland, says: “Safety Quest” is a great example of how great creativity and gamification can make a seemingly boring topic like occupational safety accessible and exciting for young people. Carrying out a project like this is a unique opportunity to push creative boundaries.”

Thanks to the tasks at different levels of difficulty, experienced players and newcomers can find their way around “Safety Quest” and gather valuable experience for everyday life. This combination of learning and fun makes “Safety Quest” a unique experience that goes beyond classic games.

“Together we have created something that is not only innovative, but also leaves a lasting impression. This unique Fortnite map shows that learning and entertainment can go hand in hand,” explained Matthias Zander, project manager, COO at Estudios.

To support the project, famous game influencers and content creators such as Vicotryona will bring in “Vico” (the current No. 1 Fortnite athlete in Europe and current FNCS champion) and “Katoo Safety Quest” on their channels to make the topic more relevant to the target group. This increases awareness of workplace safety, writes Ogilvy. At the same time, “Safety Quest” marks the beginning of a new type of education in the in-game world. (pd/nine)
