OGENE breaks radio silence with new music: ‘Back to the Eurovision Song Contest, please’

OGENE is back after a short break. The three singing sisters launch new music. With a small name change and a new look. Their first single ‘Phenomenon‘ can already be heard and is even making fans hopeful about a Eurovision entry.

It becomes clear that Lisa, Amy and Shelley Vol have not been sitting still recently when they come back on Friday morning. “The words, the tunes, the sound: that’s us. ‘Phenomenon’ is the first chapter of the new book we’re writing,” read the press statement.

The sisters, who have been in the spotlight for twenty years, have broken the contract with their previous record label and made a minor name change. It is no longer OG3NE, but OGENE, with the full letter E. The singers entered the studio and created, wrote and learned to produce their own song. “There were still so many paths to discover. That’s why we decided to keep on ourselves, to find out what we can do if we lead the way. The three have enough strength us.”

OGENE shares a preview of the new single via Instagram and TikTok, but it can now be listened to everywhere. Fans are very excited about the sisters’ return and new sound. ‘There are no other words for it than perfection’, he feels. And: ‘Back to the Eurovision Song Contest, please.’

OGENE represented the Netherlands at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest in Ukraine. They then finished eleventh in the final.
